NEW TECHNOLOGY UPDATES

Using the most advanced technology, the ATLAS measures the contour of the cornea, the clear "window" of the eye. This more accurate system for mapping the cornea is very helpful in working with contact lens patients (especially the hard to fit eye), determining corneal pathology such as keratoconus and in the initial work-up and follow- up evaluations for corneal refractive surgery. The ATLAS measures thousands of points in seconds, analyzes the data and presents the results in the form of color-coded topographical maps.
The Humphrey MATRIX is the latest development in the area of clinically validated glaucoma management. Using frequency doubling technology it can detect defects in the visual field at their very earliest stages allowing proper care to be initiated before major vision loss is experienced. It is an extremely patient friendly testing device with the additional benefit of having available a very fast (45-60 seconds) screening test for field loss.
